Yes,  Here are a few examples:

  • Is there a program for children 5-7 years who are struggling?

Yes.  Mind Over Dyslexia will tailor a program geared to the needs of 5-7 year olds. At the core of this program would be The Davis™ Reading Program for Young Learners.  Literacy skills are developed using creative, experiential and meaning based strategies.  Careful consideration is given to provide a flexible schedule to match the pace and stamina of the child.

  • Is it a problem for my child to miss school for 5 days?

Schools have been very supportive in working with parents and Mind Over Dyslexia to alter expectations for the child during the 5 days of absence.  They have been willing and eager to help the child succeed and not feel overwhelmed with catch up work.

  • How can I miss 5 days of work?

Many workplaces will treat this program as an instructional off site course.  Check with your HR department for details.  Mind Over Dyslexia will provide information you may need to help with approval from your workplace.  It is also possible to book in a flexible program schedule to allow for some continued work commitments.

  • What can I do if I suspect an employee has dyslexia?

Mind Over Dyslexia provides general presentations in the workplace – similar to a lunch and learn.  Dyslexia runs in families, so an employee may be seeking help for their struggling child and may recognize personal symptoms in the process.  We can also provide literature for distribution within the workplace.
